INFLATION RANT
so milk is $4.35/gal and eggs are $1.89/doz. one year ago milk was $3.00/gal and eggs were $.99/doz. gas was $1.30 4 years ago, and now it is $2.70 (if you’re lucky.) a good cut of beef was about $3.99/lb 5 years ago, while today it can cost well over $8.00/lb. chicken breast was $2.99/lb and now it clocks in at $4.99/lb. you could get sneakers at payless for $10, now you’re lookin at $25.
you could rent a 2 bedroom apartment here in jersey for $600 5 years ago. now you are looking at $900, unless you don’t mind being next to a crack house. that place is $825.
about the only thing that hasn’t skyrocketed in price is alcohol. which can’t because they need to keep you sedated enough to accept the fact that the middle class is being taxed and charged into oblivion. stay drunk. you won’t care about the fact that you can’t afford health insurance.
but my big question is, has anybody’s wages doubled? the price of eggs has doubled, the price of gas has doubled…have your wages?
big business has the middle class by the balls. hardly fair if you ask me.
