PHILLY SHOW RECAP
so the philly show turned out to be so much fun. i did a lot of cool work, and i got to party it up a little bit.
friday was good. i worked on one piece solid through the day. i got home late as hell, but i was just happy to wake up with my kids. i’ve been working a lot lately.
saturday was a whole different animal. the convention was slammed. shoulder to shoulder all day. i did 3 really fun and diverse pieces. i finished up around 9:30 and started with the party. have you ever partied in an elevator? that’s seemed to be the way they did things there. somebody had set up shop with chairs and lamps and ferns and all that in the elevator. i dunno. around philly, we know how to party, so the fun didn’t stop til the wee hours of morning.
sunday i worked on a sweet sugar skull. it was a lot of fun, and i’m very glad i got to do that piece. i won 2nd place cover up for the new school owl i did. after all was said and done, i packed up and headed back homeward in the snow, which didn’t stop well into monday. but i’m glad it did, because i wanted one day with my family before i headed back to the shop to bust out those 12 hour days i do so well.
all in all, the philly show was fantastic as usual. hope to see you all there next year.
